转：Fibre Channel Ports

光纖通道埠 (Fiber channel ports) 會因為接了不同的裝置而有不同的名稱,通常我們可以在 Fiber switch 裡面看到這些不同的名稱.
 

• node ports
  • N_port

  就是 Node port 的簡稱,什麼是 Node 凡舉 HBA 還是 Fiber channel storage device 端都是,常見於 FC-P2P or FC-SW 的架構(topologies).

  • NL_port

  如果 N_port 使用在 FC-AL 的環境架構(topologies)就被稱為 Node Loop port.

  • F_port

  這是在 fiber switch 上面會看到的名稱,舉凡是連接到 fiber switch 的裝置為 point-to-point.都會被稱為 F_port(Fabric port).皆非為 loop 的裝置.

  • FL_port

  如果 switch 上面所連接的是 FC-AL loop 的其中一個連接時,此時他就是 Fabric Loop port.(i.e. to NL_ports).

  • E_port

  當兩台 Fiber switch 對接時這兩個 port 就會被稱為 E_port Expansion port.目前大多使用 inter-switch link (ISL) 當做連接摽準.

  • EX_port

  當 fibre channel router 和 fibre channel switch 些連接時.在 fiber channel router 端的 port 就被稱為  EX_port.另外一端的 fiber switch 還是被稱為 E_port.

  • TE_port

  Cisco 所增訂的一種兩個 fiber channel switch 對結時的 port 目前也被列為標準.是加強本的 extended  inter-switch link ISL(EISL).除了提供標準 E_port 功能外還提供的 routing of multiple VSANs (Virtual SANs).

• general (catch-all) types
  • Auto

  在 Cisco Fiber switch 上面尚未接上裝置的 port 皆稱為 auto-sensing port, 他可為系統自動偵測為 E_, TE_, F_, 或是 FL_port.

  • Fx_port

  相較於上面的 auto-sensing port 他不能使用在兩個 Fiber channel switch 對結時的 port 但可以為 F_port (對方裝置為 N_port) 或是 FL_port (對方裝置為 NL_port).

  • G_port

  就是在 fiber switch 上面的 generic port 可以為 E_port 或是 F_port. 目前只有 Brocade 和 McData 的 switches 上才有定義這一種埠.

  • L_port

  它定義為任意 arbitrated loop port,可以為 NL_port 或是 FL_port.

  • U_port

  這僅用於 Brocade switch 上面,它定義為任意 port,也就是這個 port 上面並沒有任何裝置在上面.
