About two or three years ago, many researchers just thinking how to
adjust optical in transfer function. There are many work in this
topic, such as multi-dimensional transfer function, machine learning
based transfer function, local histogram based transfer function,
and so on. Recent year, researchers jump to use the geometry
information for focusing the interested region, rather than modify
vortex opacity, instead of vortex position. These techniques, such
as cut-way view, ghost view, exploded view, deformation, and so on.
In addition, some researchers begin to combine these two information
together for visualization, such as importance-based cutaway view,
illustrative deformation.
Data, geometry, which is the another information??
