It's some measure of how much "overhead" there was in relation to delivered messages, defined as: overHead = (1.0 * (this.nrofRelayed - this.nrofDelivered)) /     this.nrofDelivered So if every message was delivered directly from the source to destination without relaying through intermediate nodes the overhead would be zero. The more times message copies are relayed the higher the overhead becomes.
