Why did Jimmy Wales invest in Quora? Is he afraid that it will take over Wikipedia?
Answer：
I am not afraid that Quora will overtake or take over Wikipedia.
And it's important to understand, as I have stressed many times, my investment in Quora is so tiny that even if it goes up by a factor of 100 it will not really impact my life.
I invested in Quora because they asked me to and I like the founders and I like Marc Bodnick and most importantly - I like the product. I enjoy using Quora and I'm happy to be an advisor to the company.
If you read about me you'll understand that I never do anything solely for business reasons. I think making money is a fine thing but it isn't central to my life. Creating amazing things is what I like to do. I think Quora isamazing and so if I can have some small part in helping with that, that's really cool to me.
