The place where I want to go
It’s hard to say where I want to go most. Because there are too many places I want to travel with my friends or my families. For example, Tibet, Yunnan and some places in American. These places are so charming maybe because I’d never been there .But there’s one place which I’d like to go there the second time. The place is Qingdao.
Qingdao, located in the southeast part of Shandong Province, is a beautiful seaside city with clear air and enchanting[in'tʃɑ:ntiŋ] 迷人的sea view. This city, bordered by the Yellow Sea on two sides, has the largest bathing beach in Asia and produces the mellow['meləu] 圆润的,柔和的;芳醇的 Qingdao Beer. To the east of Qingdao, a short distance across the Yellow Sea, lie Korea and Japan, making the city an important port for international trade. The red roofs, green trees, blue sea, and azure['æʒə] 蔚蓝的sky .The city is sometimes known as the Switzerland ['switsələnd] 瑞士of the Orient. ['ɔ:riənt东方
Surrounded by the sea on three sides, Qingdao attracts many tourists with its charming seascape. The most unforgettable things in my mind is the beach and the delicious seafood. Qingdao has some wonderful beaches worthy of visiting. Just walking on the sand and listening to the surf breaking on the beach becomes enjoyable. Qingdao offers food with distinctive flavors--especially seafood. When you sit on the beach, eating some seafood, drinking the pure Qingdao beer, letting the sea wind blow over your face, you will find nothing could be better and you are sure to love that place.
The Government of Qingdao now sponsors the Qingdao International Beer Festival, the Qingdao International Sea Festival, Beach Culture Festival, the Sea Affection Festival, and the Summer of Qingdao Festival.
Qingdao's early summer is quite an enjoyable season, although it can be humid ['hju:mid] 潮湿的;湿润的;多湿气的near the sea shore. Late summer can become hot, while other places of Northern China start to feel cooler. The climate in late fall and winter can be harsh[hɑ:ʃ]严酷的but snow patches can generally last no longer than a few days.
Qingdaoao Municipalng could be better and you are sure to love that place.
There are many churches in this city like Catholic church (天主教堂)and Protestant Church.Luxun Park is a two-kilometres long beachside park. There is an oriental gate leading to a statue of Luxun, a famous Chinese writer.
Qingdao Underwater World/Qingdao Aquarium (青岛海底世界) Qingdao is host to China's first public aquarium, opened in 1932. Today the "Underwater World" consists of four main areas on both sides of the street connected via an underground tunnel. One highlight is the moving platform that takes visitors in a tunnel through the aquarium, one can look all around and see fish from every angle. Also, There’s wonderful mermaid shows.
Tsingtao Brewery 青岛啤酒厂
Established at the turn of the century, the brewery is open to visitors and regular tours take place. Through several other beers are sold in China, Tsingtao takes up by far the largest portion of the market, and it is well-known and appreciated throughout the world for its crisp flavour. The brewery has some interesting exhibits and the bottling plant is fascinating. Inside the brewery you will see the history of the brewery and how beer was made in the late 19th and 20th century.
Old Stone Man Beach (石老人浴场) One of the best beaches within easy striking distance of the city. It is cleanish, very long and broad, with the highest waves. Tables, chairs, tents, boats, shower, changing facilities etc. are available for rent.
Huangdao (黄岛). Providing there isn't persistent fog as is often in the area, one can take a ferry from Qingdao port to the neighbouring district of Huangdao. The city has mostly been built in the last 10-15 years and thus is completely devoid of character. That said, there are plenty of Japanese hostess bars, and a few Western drinking holes too, if you get tired of Qingdao's fare.
Laoshan
Often credited with being one of the temples that gave birth to the Dao way of thought, the Laoshan temple is tucked just between the mountains and beach. You can wander the temples or take one of the many paths winding up and around the mountains to enjoy the view, see waterfalls or listen to the tales of the ancient snake and other phenomena that haunt the Laoshan area. The mountain offers both regular hiking from the main entrance, as well as a stone-paved trail to Chao Yin waterfall and tea house from the north entrance
Laoshan Mountains
Only about 30km east of the city, this spectacular range is well within
day-trip distance. Many organized tours are available. climbing the 1,113-meter
main peak requires some stamina, but the views of Qingdao and the surrounding
countryside from the top are more than memorable.
Qingdao
Art Museum
Originally built by wealthy Qingdao merchants as a welfare institution for the
city's poor, this fine building now houses a superb and extensive collection of
Yuan, Ming and Wing Dynasty paintings, and an archaeological exhibit
illustrating Shandong's colourful history.
Qingdao is a beautiful city where anyone will love her in the depth of hearts at the first sight.
