On July 7, Amazon added Valid Tracking Rate as a new metric in Seller Central. This metric shows the total number of packages you ship with a valid tracking number divided by the number of packages you have confirmed as shipped.
You can view your Valid Tracking Rate by going to Seller Central > Performance > Customer Satisfaction > Account Health. (https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/seller-rating/pages/account-health.html).
Customers tell us that having the ability to track their packages is an important contributor to their overall satisfaction with an order. Our research shows that orders with valid tracking have significantly fewer claims, chargebacks, and negative feedback. Adding tracking to orders also results in fewer customers asking questions related to "Where's My Stuff." All major carriers, including USPS, FedEx, UPS and DHL, provide tracking numbers for free. We encourage all sellers to leverage this benefit and provide tracking numbers on all shipments.
