Introduction to Bloomberg Professional
Bloomberg Professional is a key financial source for current and historical information on equities, fixed income securities, foreign exchange, derivatives and commodities. Also included are company profiles and financial statements, analysts' forecasts, market news and global economic data. Excel Add-in is available for data extraction.
Five Bloomberg (BBG) terminals are located at the Information Commons on the Library G/F. Use your ITSC username and password to log in to the station. You will also need to provide BBG username and password to access the database. Generic BBG logins are attached to the terminals.
All stations are available for online booking. Bookings are limited to 2 hours per session. You may book at most one session per day, two sessions per week.
The tutorials in this Bloomberg Series will show you how to navigate Bloomberg. You may access Bloomberg using the dedicated terminals available at the Library (Information Commons, G/F).

Bloomberg Keyboard Basics
Bloomberg (BBG) keyboard is a specialized and color-coded keyboard that helps users navigating through the system. The look of the BBG Keyboard is very similar to the standard computer keyboard, but there are several unique features including:

- Biometric sensor
- Built-in speakers
